Guia de Etiqueta na Saúde Mental
A digital platform that promotes mental health awareness across languages and cultures.
Project Challenges
One of the main challenges was ensuring inclusivity and accessibility across multiple languages, with a special focus on Ukrainian communities. Additionally, the platform had to balance informative content with a simple, user-friendly experience, avoiding overwhelming navigation. Time constraints and the need for coordination between COMON, the Portuguese Red Cross, and Buzzvel also required a structured and agile development process.
Solutions
To overcome these challenges, Buzzvel adopted a collaborative workshop methodology with COMON to align on structure, wireframes, and content management needs. We developed the website in WordPress with a focus on modular, reusable components, making content updates efficient and scalable. Multilingual management was handled through a robust translation system, ensuring consistency across all three languages. Accessibility best practices were applied to typography, contrast, and navigation flow.
Additionally, we implemented clear content hierarchies and streamlined page structures, ensuring visitors could easily navigate through mental health resources. Close collaboration with COMON and the Red Cross teams ensured that the digital product was aligned with both communication strategy and humanitarian goals.
Results
The project delivered a modern, multilingual digital platform that amplifies the message of mental health etiquette across different communities. The site significantly improved accessibility to resources, particularly for Ukrainian speakers, supporting the humanitarian mission of the Portuguese Red Cross.
With a clean, mobile-first interface and optimized SEO architecture, the platform now reaches wider audiences and drives engagement through clear calls to action. Content managers benefit from a straightforward CMS, reducing publication time and allowing for continuous updates.
The “Guia de Etiqueta na Saúde Mental” stands as a successful collaboration between COMON, the Portuguese Red Cross, and Buzzvel — a platform that not only informs but also empowers individuals to act with empathy and awareness in mental health contexts.
